Velma A. Chrisner, 96, of Mexia, Texas, passed away May 26, 2021 at her home. Velma was known to many as "Mama C".

Velma was born one mile south of Donie, Texas at the old May homestead to Milton Field and Minnie Temple Richardson May on March 20, 1925. She graduated from Donie High School in 1942 where she served as senior class.treasurer and was voted "Most Beautiful Girl"

She was a great cook and enjoyed family get togethers to fellowship and eat. She was an avid bird watcher, enjoyed spending time with her friends, and birding trips with "The Loons". She was an avid sports fan and, at the end of the day, she could give a detailed account of the plays and scores of every game she watched.  She was blessed with a good mind until the day her Lord called her home.
